Major destinations that you can look forward to on your trip include Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley and of course the monumental Machu Picchu! Along the way, you will have a chance to savor the delectable Peruvian cuisine and enjoy the colorful markets.

In addition to the tourist component of this journey, you can look forward to participating in sacred ceremonies carried out by the  Peruvian Shamans—the last Inca Medicine People. Your journey will include deeply moving spiritual experiences based on the 9 Levels of Initiation, Shamanic blessings and Rites of Passage.

This journey takes place during the summer of 2013 and our itinerary is as follows:

July 29th:  Home – Lima

Enjoy the flight and sweet anticipation! In Lima, a Spirits of the Earth representative will be greeting you at the airport and escorting you to your hotel. Welcome to Peru!

July 30th: Lima

More than 400 years ago, the Spanish conqueror (“conquistador”) Francisco Pizarro named Lima the City of the Kings (“Ciudad de los Reyes”.) Today, that same city, which rose from the lands of the native chief  Taulischusco, is a city of over 7 million people who proudly preserve the colonial convents and mansions which are symbols of their ancient and noble traditions.

Leisure morning to relax, and after lunch our Lima exploration will  begin at the historical Plaza de Armas, home of Government’s Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace and City Hall. Afterwards we visit the Gold Museum. Peruvian people used to work the metal in a spectacular way. The procedure called “cire perdue” (lost wax) which was well known in the East but it disappeared in the West in the Renaissance era. This procedure was the most commonly used by the Peruvian goldsmiths. Our excursion to the Gold Museum can allow us to appreciate an excellent collection of gold pieces from different  Peruvian  Cultures; some of these pieces are more than 3000 years old. In this museum you will see valuable objects and jewelry of great worth, which where worked in Gold, Silver and with stunning  types of stones. This jewelry was used by the most important people of the Inca’s time, who were the son of the Sun and monarchs of this Empire. After the guided tour, we return to the hotel for a free evening. It is suggested that you retire early as tomorrow your trip to Cusco and the Sacred Valley will require some of your energy. Sweet Dreams!

In AYNI you don’t give or receive something without reciprocity.
