VERA LOPEZ: A native of Brazil, Vera Lopez began studying metaphysics and spirituality at the age of 18. For 14 years she studied, and worked, with Luiz A. Gasparetto in his spiritual center in Brazil. There she was a teacher, channel, healer and spiritual counselor. She is also a Traditional Japanese Reiki teacher.

Since founding Spirits of the Earth in 1989, she has touched the lives of hundreds of people personally guiding groups to Machu Picchu, Peru. Her extensive experience with Peru, the Andean Culture and her spiritual background insures all the participants the journey of a lifetime.

Vera considers her work her ministry. Her commitment is that each person that journeys with Spirits of the Earth returns home transformed by joy, love, beauty and unforgettable memories.

JIM HOSTLER: Vera’s husband, Jim, has joined Vera in Spirits of the Earth, Inc. and Spirits of the Earth Foundation. Rev. Jim Hostler, M. Msc. has a Masters degree in Metaphysics and will complete his doctoral degree in Metaphysics this year. By coupling his former profession as a corporate communications and diversity trainer with being an Ordained Metaphysical Minister and Practitioner, it allows Jim to bring together the ancient wisdom of yesterday with how we communicate today.

With Vera and Jim working together, Spirits of the Earth has expanded and is now guiding individuals and groups to Sedona, AZ., in addition to Peru. The trips to Sedona are personalized and coupled with the ancient wisdom of the North and South Native American’s and the magic of Sedona each trip is spiritual and transformational; filled with love and joy. Additionally, Vera and Jim have created Spirits of the Earth Foundation. The Foundations mission is to assist the rural people of Peru in education, health and economic issues while valuing their culture and traditions.
